Jewelry Care
Care Instructions
General
As a golden rule, your jewelry should always be the last item you put on, and the first one you take off.
As with any timeless pieces of your wardrobe, jewelry needs to be properly cared for. This includes proper cleaning and storage, as decided by the material.
Solid Gold
Clean your solid gold jewelry often by wiping clean with a soft cloth and warm water if needed. To remove dirt, oils, and lotions that can dull the gold's shine, a mild soap with warm water can be used to clean, then rinse the jewelry thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth. Store in a dry, airtight container or a soft lined jewelry box to prevent scratches and tarnishing. By following these simple cleaning and care tips, you can keep your solid gold jewelry looking beautiful for years to come.
Gold Filled
Gold filled jewelry can pretty much be worn 24/7. You are fine to shower in gold filled jewelry, however, we do recommend you remove it in saltwater and chlorine, or if you plan to workout in it, as sweat does have natural chemicals in it. Wearing while using basic lotions is fine, but remove gold filled jewelry when putting on anything strong such as retinol, glycolic acid, etc. Clean your jewelry with a soft cloth to remove any dirt or tarnish. You can also use a mild soap and water solution to clean your jewelry, but avoid using harsh chemicals. Store your gold filled jewelry in an airtight container or a soft lined jewelry box to prevent scratches and tarnishing. Following these tips can preserve the beauty of your jewelry and keep it looking its best.
Gold Vermeil
It is recommended that you should remove your gold vermeil pieces before showering, swimming, working out, or sleeping to lengthen the lifespan of your jewelry. Remove when in in excessive contact with sweat, lotions or perfumes. Clean your jewelry with a soft polishing cloth to remove any dirt or tarnish. You can also use a mild soap and water solution to clean your jewelry, but avoid using any harsh chemicals. Store your gold vermeil jewelry in a dry, airtight container or a soft lined jewelry box to prevent scratches and tarnishing. Gold vermeil will naturally tarnish over time and like any precious metal, it will require some gentle care to maintain it's appearance and lifespan.
